General Contractors for Commercial Construction and Remodeling Projects
Why It’s Absolutely Critical to Choose the Right General Contractor
Picking your general contractor is arguably the most important decision regarding the overall success of your commercial construction or renovation project. The General Contractor (GC) is the point person for all construction resources and ultimately responsible for the final quality of the construction project, as well as adherence to the timeline and designated budgets.
If a low-quality general contractor is selected, you can bet that your project will undoubtedly experience cutting corners, unmet deadlines, and an inferior completed construction project.
Koehn Building Systems’ Unique Approach as a General Contractor
Our Focus on Balancing Design and Functionality
Our team does not just consist of excellent builders; we are also seasoned designers. While aesthetics are certainly very important, we also want to make sure the building makes sense for your short-term and long-term needs. As such, we carefully balance aesthetic design and functionality. For example, when we designed a tire auto shop, we ran simulations and tests to verify the building had proper clearances for all types of vehicles that may one day be serviced within the facility.
Our Attention to Detail
The most common feedback we get from our customers is regarding our superior level of attention to detail. In everything we do, we want the job to be done the right way, the first time. Instead of merely reacting to issues that present themselves, we do our best to proactively anticipate and prepare for the what-ifs in order to make the design and construction process as smooth and enjoyable as possible for all parties involved.

Common Questions About General Contractors
Do I need an architect in order to utilize your general contracting services?
We often work hand-in-hand with architects to make their vision become a reality. However, since Koehn Building Systems offers design services in-house, not all projects require an architect. We can work directly with the building owner to take the project all the way from idea stage to completion, including all design needs in between.
Can I be involved in the subcontractor selection process?
We have a list of preferred subcontractors that we’ve worked with for decades. However, if you have a preferred subcontractor for a particular portion of the project, please alert us to this during the initial quoting process.
Do you offer post-occupancy services?
We do not offer post-occupancy or maintenance services. However, if you are looking for a recommendation for a particular trade vendor, certainly let us know, and we can point you in the right direction.
